Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for pro bono services, your organisation must generally meet the following criteria:

  • Small businesses and Startups operating in Kenya, with less than 10 employees and an annual turnover not exceeding KES 2 million.
  • Registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs) operating within Kenya.
  • Local government entities operating within Kenya (e.g., county governments, municipalities).

Organisations must demonstrate a clear need for cybersecurity assistance, such as:

  • Lack of dedicated IT support staff.
  • Limited budget for cybersecurity tools and services.
  • Absence of formal cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Reliance on outdated or unsupported technology.

Organisations must be willing to actively participate in the clinic's process, including:

  • Designating a point of contact.
  • Providing necessary information and access.
  • Implementing recommended solutions.

Disclaimer

The information you provide will be handled with strict confidentiality and used solely for vetting purposes. For unsuccessful applicants, this information will be securely and permanently deleted one week after the vetting process is completed, and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided. For successful applicants, this information will be retained for the duration of the cybersecurity clinic program and subsequently securely and permanently deleted within 30 days of program completion, in accordance with our data retention policy.
