We're bridging the cybersecurity gap by providing critical support to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), non-profits, and local government entities.
At ArifaLab, we share a dedication to reducing barriers to cybersecurity access, which is why we chose to launch a cybersecurity program in 2024 that provides low- to no-cost cybersecurity services to assist community organisations in protecting their digital assets.
The ArifaLab Cybersecurity Clinic Program (ACCP) is a social impact initiative that works with volunteers, including students and IT professionals, to deliver accessible, practical cybersecurity support and training to resource-constrained organisations in Kenya.
This 12-week program aims to assist organisations in identifying and mitigating cyber risks, responding effectively to security incidents, and developing sustainable cybersecurity capabilities. Furthermore, ACCP raises awareness of prevalent cyber threats while offering volunteers valuable hands-on experience in real-world cybersecurity scenarios.
We ensure ACCP's impact is effective and lasting by using a clear framework that combines risk identification, tailored solutions, user training, and ongoing support to build strong cybersecurity practices. We continuously measure progress, adapt measures for new risks, and engage organisations long after the clinic to sustain improvements and resilience.
We partner with organisations to identify their key cyber risks and develop clear, practical remediation plans tailored to their context.
We conduct a thorough needs assessment to identify security gaps, evaluate the most critical exposures and prioritise them for urgent remediation.
We provide hands-on training to users, focusing on cybersecurity best practices, threat awareness, and operational readiness.
We offer ongoing technical assistance for implementing solutions and adapting to evolving threats.
We award participating organisations a professional badge signalling their verified cybersecurity readiness and commitment.
We conduct post-clinic evaluations to measure improvements, adjust strategies, and sustain long-term cybersecurity resilience.
ACCP runs in nine stages over a period of 12 weeks.
If your organisation would benefit from tailored, low‑ or no‑cost cybersecurity support, or if you are interested in volunteering with ACCP to gain practical experience, we invite you to register for the next clinic intake.
