Eligibility Criteria

The Cybersecurity Clinic aims to support organisations in Kenya that lack the resources and expertise to effectively manage their cybersecurity posture. To be eligible for volunteering, you should:

Be pursuing or hold a degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or have relevant certifications or self-study.
Have experience or skills in IT support, cybersecurity tools, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, or incident response.
Show eagerness to learn and engage in ongoing cybersecurity training.
Commit to required hours, including possible evenings or weekends.
Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism, and agree to background checks if needed.
Possess strong communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Be able to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Disclaimer

The information you provide will be handled with strict confidentiality and used solely for vetting purposes. For unsuccessful applicants, this information will be securely and permanently deleted one week after the vetting process is completed, and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided. For successful applicants, this information will be retained for the duration of the cybersecurity clinic program and subsequently securely and permanently deleted within 30 days of program completion, in accordance with our data retention policy.
